Sept. 9, 2010Today I came downstairs and saw Bob in a green chrysalis. The chrysalis is green at first, but will turn clear when he is ready to come out. The chrysalis is actually an exoskeleton, meaning that it is a skeleton that grows around the caterpillar. The average time to spend in a chrysalis is 10 days.
